SlideShowPro Director allows you to assign images to your uploaded videos for use as thumbnails and as preview graphics in your slideshows. How thumbnails are assigned depends on the version of SlideShowPro Director you are using.
Director 1.4 introduced the ability to automatically publish images using keyframes from your uploaded videos. This functionality requires FFmpeg, a third-party server-side software application. Many web hosts provide it for their users. If you do not see images being generated for your videos, see the Using FFmpeg with Director instructions to test your server for compliance.
If your server does not support FFmpeg, and you want video images to be generated automatically, you will need to install FFmpeg yourself or contact your web hosting provider for assistance. Otherwise, you will need to manually assign your own images.
Director cannot publish images or frames from the videos you upload. In order to display a thumbnail for a video that's loaded as slideshow content, you will need to assign an image for the video to use. Instructions are available here.
