SlideShowPro for Flash and SlideShowPro for Lightroom can retrieve any album or gallery in Director. When linked, the content associated with that album and/or gallery is published on-demand, and tailored to fit the dimensions of your slideshow. You may continually change the dimensions of your slideshow, and Director will always return first generation imagery formatted to fit your slideshow.
Every album and gallery in Director offers an "XML File Path." This is a unique absolute URL to that album/gallery inside Director. SlideShowPro uses this URL to communicate with Director and request the content it needs.
Because they're often used, Director publishes XML File Paths in a few different places. These include the Snapshot page (which displays the five most recently modified albums and galleries), the index pages for albums ("Albums" in main navigation) and galleries ("Galleries" in the main navigation), as well as the "Summary" page for albums and galleries. In each case the process is the same. Simply click the "Copy" button and the URL will be copied to your clipboard.

If you are using SlideShowPro for Flash, return to Flash and select your instance of SlideShowPro for Flash on the Stage. Open the Component Inspector panel (Window > Component Inspector). Scroll to the bottom and click inside the field reading “images.xml” that’s next to the XML File Path parameter (see right). Erase “images.xml” and paste in the URL you copied from Director. Lastly, below XML File Path, set XML File Type to “Director.”
If you are using SlideShowPro for Lightroom, return to Lightroom and scroll to the bottom of the template edit panels until you see the "Data" section. Delete the default "images.xml" value assigned to XML File Path, and paste in the URL you copied from Director. Lastly, below XML File Path, set XML File Type to "Director." When complete, the live preview of SlideShowPro should update inside Lightroom with your Director content.
All image quality, size, and scale modifications are handled through SlideShowPro. How you edit those settings depends on which version of the product you are using, as explained below.
If you are using SlideShowPro for Flash, these adjustments are made through the Director Large Image Settings parameter in the Component Inspector panel. The parameter contains three numbers in an array. The first is image quality, which accepts a range of 0-100 (100 being the highest quality), and has a default value of 80. The second is sharpening, which accepts a range of 0-5 (5 being the strongest), and has a default value of 1. The third is image scale, which accepts a range of 0-100 (100 being 'normal') if using the ActionScript 2 version of the extension, or a range of 0-1 (1 being "normal") if using the ActionScript 3 version of the extension. This last value, image scale, should only be used if you are setting SlideShowPro for Flash's Content Scale parameter to either "None" or "Downscale Only," and want Director to publish images that are smaller than SlideShowPro for Flash's Content Area dimensions.
Director Thumb Image Settings accepts the same values as Large, but without the last scaling option.
If you are using SlideShowPro for Lightroom, these settings are edited at the bottom of the template edit panels inside the "Director Publishing" panel. The panel contains three sliders to control your large imagery: Large Quality, Large Sharpening, and Large Scale. Additionally, Thumb Quality and Thumb Sharpening handle the thumbnails that are published.
