This user guide contains all the instructions you need to install and use Director. If you’re in a rush and would like to start using Director with SlideShowPro for Flash right now, and learn more about how Director works when you have time, follow the instructions in Installation, then open the Quick Start. For everyone else though, it’s recommended you follow along to learn how Director works, and the options available to you, before jumping in.

Here are the typographical conventions you can expect so see throughout this guide:

Parameter name
Indicates parameter names that are assigned to SlideShowPro in Flash’s Component Inspector panel. They will also be used (sporadically) for typographical emphasis.

Constant width
Used for samples of XML, JavaScript, ActionScript, and other code.
