Can I use a custom typeface in the text fields?

stapi
allows you to embed two non-system typefaces for use in all internal text fields.

Can I edit the default English text?

In :stapi:, yes. Items such as the "Previous Screen" and "Next Screen" buttons can be changed to any English or non-English words you wish through the "textStrings" array. See How to: Change default English text in the SlideShowPro Customization Guide for more information.

Can I add hyperlinks to slideshow content?

Absolutely. This is done through either adding link attributes to your img elements in the XML file :stapi: loads or through SlideShowPro Director. You have full control over which browser window the link is loaded into.

Can I change the color of the navigation buttons?

Yes. And for that matter, you can change the color of just about everything else in :stapi:.

Can I replace the navigational buttons with my own?

Yes. See How to: Custom navigation buttons in the SlideShowPro Customization Guide for instructions.

st
Does

offer a documented list of ActionScript methods, events, and properties?

Yes. All of it is available through the Help panel in the Flash IDE.

I think I need to use ActionScript to build something custom. Can you help?

No. We do not provide assistance for ActionScript. We recommend sticking to the customization options available through the Component Inspector panel, or asking for help from other :stapi: users in the Account Center forums.

I'd like to dynamically assign an XML file for SlideShowPro to use. Can I do that?

Yes. This allows you to publish one SWF, but dynamically assign its data source on the fly. See this walkthrough for more information.

Does the XML file have to be static? Or can it be dynamically generated with PHP, CF, ASP, etc?

It can be dynamically generated, assuming you know how to construct a document that can return valid XML markup.

Can search engines spider my SlideShowPro content?

No. The Flash Player and search engine spiders simply don't get along, for there's no way for a search engine to "see" into a SWF. With that it's better to wrap your SWF with descriptive copy that can be indexed. Recently Google introduced indexing of dynamic flash content, however this is still rather new and we are still determining what and how will Goolge index content on SlideShowPro. Here's a news article we wrote about it.
