SlideShowPro for Flash

Feedback

SlideShowPro for Flash visually communicates asset loading, transition pauses, display mode, and video playback with three graphical elements that appear inside the Content Area: a preloader, a timer, and a video play button. Each feedback element has its own unique set of modifiable parameters, as well as shared parameters like color and transparency (for consistency). The following is an overview of each element.

Preloader

Whenever SlideShowPro for Flash loads data -- whether it be XML, images or videos -- a preloader appears in the center of the Content Area. When loading completes, the element is automatically removed.

Style

There are three preloader animation styles for you to choose from (left to right below): "Bar," "Beam" (default), "Pie Spinner," "Pie", "Spinner" and "Line." These may be chosen through FEEDBACK/Preloader Appearance. If you'd rather not show preloaders in your slideshow, select "Hidden." The following parameters control the visual appearance of each preloader type.

Position

Preloaders may be positioned in two places: inside the Content Area or inside loaded content. This is controlled through the FEEDBACK/Preloader Position parameter. To control which side of the content area or content the preloader is aligned with, modify FEEDBACK/Preloader Align.

Scale

The scale of the preloader animation can be adjusted using the FEEDBACK/Preloader Scale parameter. In the ActionScript 2 version, 100 is equal to 100% (no scale), while in the ActionScript 3 version 1 is equal to 100% (no scale).

Timer

SlideShowPro for Flash confirms display mode changes, as well as transition pause wait-time, through the "timer" element that appears/disappears when applicable in the upper-right hand corner. The following parameters control its color and transparency.

Style

The timer element has a fixed style. It may be removed from a slideshow by setting set FEEDBACK/Timer Appearance to "Hidden", or have its color / transparency modified using the following parameters:

Video play button

When SlideShowPro's VIDEO/Auto Start parameter is set to "Off", a play button will appear in the center of the Content Area. The button will also appear at the end of video (to restart it) if PLAYBACK/Display Mode is set to "Manual." You may change the color / transparency of the play button with the following parameters:
