ThumbGrid is populated with thumbnail images whenever an album is requested in :stapi:. When albums are switched, ThumbGrid's interface clears and a new batch of thumbnail images load.
By default, all your images will automatically scale (if different) to the target dimensions discussed above, then cropped to fit. This gives your interface a uniform appearance. If however you'd prefer your images to be presented proportionally, modify the THUMB IMAGES/Scale parameter. When set to "Proportional", your images are proportionally downscaled/upscaled to fit the target dimensions, and the container around each image resizes so all your thumbnails have a uniform appearance.

As explained in the Size and layout chapter, image dimensions are dictated by the overall size of ThumbGrid, the value of LAYOUT/Rows and LAYOUT/Columns, LAYOUT/Spacing, and THUMB STYLE/Padding. The size of each thumbnail image is displayed in the live preview of ThumbGrid on the Stage (see right). These are the target dimensions for your thumbnail images.
If you plan on keeping the "zoom" rollover effect turned on (as set through THUMB BEHAVIOR/Zoom), multiply the target dimensions by the value of THUMB BEHAVIOR/Zoom Scale. For example, if your target dimensions are 75x50, you should create and/or request images that are 150x100 for higher quality images on roll-over.
When requesting thumbnail images from SlideShowPro Director for use in ThumbGrid, you editSee the ThumbGrid with :stapi: or the ThumbGrid with :stapi: and SlideShowPro Director instructions for more information about populating ThumbGrid with thumbnail images.
